Ranching
Through
Our Eyes
Welcome to our page! We absolutely love our ranching way of life and our goal is to provide you with your next lil ranch hand (we raise and train Border Collies, miniature Border Collies, and toy Australian Shepherds) or provide you with your next working cow horse.
Our Main Working Dogs
We named our company “Dead Zone Doggers” because most of our ranch location is so remote we actually live “in the dead zone”.
Boone
Boone is one of our main stud dogs. Boone is 4 years old and has incredible natural instincts, a hard bite and a strong work ethic.
Stryker
Stryker is one of our main breeding females. She is 7 years old and is an amazing push dog. She is very intense and takes her job as our ranch hand very seriously, and loves to be part of the family.
Maggie
Maggie is our newest breeding female. She is proving to be an extremely fast learner with tons of natural instincts. She was working pairs on her own as a 7 month old pup!

Montana
Ranching
We spend the majority of our time on the ranch in Montana. We generally start calving heifers the middle part of March, and then branding season starts in May and runs through the first of July. During our mid summer months you will find us doing pasture management, haying, and general ranching duties. Early fall brings on gathering, preg checking and weaning season.
Arizona
Horse training and dog training
We head to our place by Wickenburg “Roping Capital of the World” right after Christmas. We spend a few months taking advantage of the warm weather down South training on our dogs, colts and roping.
OUR STORY
Silas was born and raised in the cowboy world. He has cowboyed on multiple big outfits from Montana to Nevada and everywhere in between. Silas understands what it takes to make a good working dog and an accomplished ranch horse. He strives to produce the best he can in dogs and horses. He’s owned dogs his whole life and thought it intriguing how the Border Collie can be such a great benefit to the working cowboy. Silas got his first top notch Border Collie back in 2021 and has taken pride in working with Boone to become a very deadly team for the ranch.
Cally was born and raised in the ranching industry. She grew up raising Border Collies with her family and working dogs and horses have been an important part of her lifestyle. Cally has an extensive background in dog training and loves to combine that with cattle work to help provide the working cowboy/cowgirl with a dog that has a solid foundation.
